Job description:
Supporting the attraction and implementation of competitive projects at the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Support in the attraction of competitive projects (pre-award): identifying relevant open calls, supporting with the writing, to name a few.
- Implement entrepreneurship competitive projects (post-award): support for the consortium and partners, implementation of the deliveries, startup scouting, and more.
- Might include supporting some analysis: literature reviews, surveys, interviews, writing, qualitative analysis, proofreading, and design of presentations.
- Competitive projects in the following subtopics: technology transfer, corporate venturing, and startups.
- Support internal / external stakeholders who are detail-oriented.
- The early/initial estimation is around 60% of back-office and 40% of front-office. This may vary.
- Other tasks related to the development of the Center.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with very high grades.
- Native English and Spanish, both speaking and writing (especially English).
- Competitive projects: between four to eight years of experience in European projects related to entrepreneurship and/or innovation in both attracting projects and implementing those (e.g., European Institute of Innovation and Technology - EIT, Horizon Europe, or other European programs/initiatives).
- Demonstrated experience in analysis,
especially qualitative.
- Advanced office skills, especially with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience and interest in entrepreneurship terminology: especially in technology transfer, corporate venturing, and startups.
- Highly trusted person who works towards excellence and spirit of service, who can easily work with other international team members.
- Orientation to detail: especially in proofreading, writing, and analytics.
- Committed, problem solver, positive, mentorable, and adaptable.
- Ability to absorb complex information quickly.
- Structural thinking, synthesis, good memory, anticipation, and planning.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholders in both industry and academia.
- Orientation to results: ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Knowledge of AI technologies to improve the process of attraction and implementation of competitive projects.
- Availability to travel (punctually), if needed.
- Work permit for Spain (NIE, etc.).
- Not required, but considered a plus:
- Ph.D. in management, business, economics, or a related discipline (already finished by the starting date).
- Fluent in Catalan, speaking and writing
- Public fundraising experience in Asia and Latin America.
