About the job
Semiconductor supplier KD provides innovative high-speed optical networking for harsh environments. Making gigabit communications over fiber optics a reality, KD technology supplies multi Gb/s optical links for automotiveindustrial, and home networks.
Founded in 2010 in Madrid, Spain, KD offer its cost-effective technology as either ASSP or IP (Intellectual Property) to be integrated in SoCs (System-on-Chips).
KD has about 75 employees, we are in full expansion due to the development of innovative products in the sector and the creation of a unique factory in Spain.
As a result, we are looking for a Test Technician. Please find below the responsibilities, profile, conditions and other details of the position:
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Provide production support and other support on test engineering activities.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on test setup involving handler, tester, bench equipment, and hardware.
- Loading and unloading the materials in the equipment and starting the production process.
- Minimize downtime by quickly resolving equipment issues.
- Basic repair of simple components on hardware, interface boards occasionally.
- Maintain equipment logs, document troubleshooting actions, and maintenance records.
What You Bring
- Vocational Training in Electronics or a related field.
- Basic understanding of electronic principles and components.
- Troubleshooting skills (hardware and test failures).
- Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and test logs.
- Familiarity with data analysis.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing appropriate protective equipment (coat,
hairnet, gloves, mask, and cleanroom shoes).
- Basic English communication skills are an advantage, but not required.
- Commitment to technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude with a critical and constructive mindset.
- Willingness to take responsibility from implementation to testing and validation in the laboratory.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when handling technical or production-related information.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to meet schedule targets.
- Commitment to high-quality and reliable laboratory work results.
