We have taken advantage of 2021 to completely modernize the Empordà Golf Club and turn it, not only into one of the most emblematic golf settings in Spain, but also into one of the main 36-hole golf destinations in Europe.

We have made a considerable investment to remodel all the facilities, including the two 18-hole golf courses, the 86-room hotel, and the wellness facilities.

At the heart of the Empordà Golf Resort are its magnificent championship courses – the Empordà Dunes and the Empordà Forest – designed by Robert von Hagge, a globally recognized architect. This was his first creation in Spain, and while both layouts belong to the same architect, that's where the similarities between these two courses end, as each presents different challenges.

Adjacent to the golf courses is the new Empordà hotel, which boasts 86 rooms and suites, all designed with a contemporary style that promotes the rest and relaxation of guests.

A prestigious golf course with over 20 years of experience is seeking a motivated and experienced gardener to join our maintenance team.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, highly organized, and capable of managing a dynamic work environment in green area maintenance. Flexibility, self-control, and a proactive mindset are essential for this role. Strong skills in gardening and turf maintenance are a must, as well as the ability to work as part of a team and follow detailed instructions to ensure the golf course is maintained in optimal condition. We value a love for nature and a desire to contribute to the impeccable presentation of the course.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out maintenance tasks on the golf course, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and aeration of greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
- Assist with planting, seeding, and the care of trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants throughout the course.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment and specialized machinery, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Identify and treat pests, diseases, and weeds, applying plant protection products under the supervision of the maintenance team.
- Assist in the installation and upkeep of irrigation systems,



ensuring proper coverage and functionality.
- Participate in the scheduling and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to the needs of the course.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all established safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a high-quality experience for players and visitors.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in gardening, turf maintenance, or similar roles, preferably in golf courses or large green spaces.
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, agronomy, and use of gardening tools and equipment.
- Ability to operate golf course maintenance machinery.
- Languages: Spanish required; knowledge of Catalan and English is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Specific training in gardening, turf management, or agronomy will be valued.
