Tax Technology Specialist responsible for invoicing compliance and integration of tax engines with billing systems within Fever’s integral tax team.
Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end invoicing compliance, including design, field validation, and regulatory alignment across global markets.
- Configure and maintain tax determination rules in billing and invoicing platforms.
- Partner with product, engineering, and finance to build scalable invoice templates that meet local statutory requirements.
- Lead testing and validation cycles for invoice‑related changes.
- Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies and tax mismatches; escalating complex issues.
- Maintain a library of invoice scenarios, edge cases, and exception‑handling documentation.
- Support audit readiness by ensuring accurate, complete, and retrievable invoice archives.
- Create training materials and conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions for billing operations and customer‑facing teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2‑3 years of experience in tax technology or billing operations focused on invoicing solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, or equivalent)
integrated into billing systems.
- Familiarity with subscription billing platforms (strong plus).
- Solid understanding of indirect tax regulations (sales & use tax, VAT) related to invoice content and timing.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering and product on invoicing automation projects.
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel; SQL experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate tax requirements into actionable technical specifications.
