Purchasing Specialist

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of supply and optimized inventory performance across our operations. Working closely with Procurement, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams, you will execute purchasing and replenishment activities that directly support production reliability, cost efficiency, and service excellence. This role sits at the heart of operational decision‑making, where data, collaboration, and proactive problem‑solving come together to drive business impact.

Essential Job Functions

- Execute daily purchasing activities by converting requisitions into Purchase Orders in SAP across raw materials, MRO, engineering services, and non‑stock items
- Plan, monitor, and optimize replenishment to balance material availability, inventory targets, and working capital
- Actively manage inventory performance, including identifying and reducing slow‑moving and obsolete stock in collaboration with Sales and Production
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships,



leading issue resolution related to delivery performance, invoicing, and documentation
- Contribute to SIOP processes by participating in supply reviews, highlighting risks, and driving mitigation actions
- Track, analyze, and report key purchasing and supply KPIs using SAP, Excel, and Power BI

Qualifications & Experience

- Experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain roles, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and solid analytical skills using Excel; Power BI experience is an advantage
- Good understanding of MRP, inventory management principles, and SIOP processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, operational environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and solution‑oriented mindset
- A proactive, resilient approach with the confidence to decide, drive actions, and continuously improve
