Join our AWS Solutions Architecture team in Norway and empower Software, SaaS and Technology Companies to innovate at speed and scale with cloud technologies.

Solutions Architects work hand in hand with AWS customers to help them make the most of the Cloud. They are at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption. They are responsible for creating and presenting technical content and sharing best practices.

They work to understand the customer's business needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology. They help customers validate their initiatives from ideation to proof of concept. Solutions Architects lead architecture reviews, white‑boarding sessions, demos, and technical workshops. They collaborate with account management, professional services, industry experts, support, service teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

Amongst others, you will be part of the design and building of reference architectures, proof of concepts, and help customers deploy production workloads on AWS. You will also provide thought leadership and recommendations on cloud architecture, migration, modernization, and operation. Build strong technical relationships acting as the voice of the customer internally to influence AWS service roadmaps.

Key job responsibilities

- Work directly with strategic customers to accelerate their challenging, mission‑critical projects and recommend best‑practice architectures in line with their long‑term business outcomes.
- Build technical relationships with customers and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance you provide.
- Share the voice of the customer to inform the roadmap of AWS features.




- Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog posts).
- Evangelise and educate customers about AWS technology (e.g., through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences).
- Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organisation by interviewing candidates and having a voice in hiring decisions. You will also help others develop new skills by mentoring team members and identifying talent needs.
- Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to our outcomes.

A day in the life

You will have the opportunity to work with account managers to help customers accelerate their cloud implementation to modernise their business on AWS. Working with these customers, you will help them transform existing workloads by designing modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using both native and partner solutions.

Our teams focus on understanding customer key business drivers as well as the existing application architecture(s) to deliver a technical recommendation to the customer with a goal of designing a robust cloud architecture that can scale as their business requires.

Your direct team is located across the Nordics and you would work in close collaboration with team members in Norway and across borders.

Basic Qualifications

- Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, or DevOps.
- Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A passion for technology and for learning.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating IT systems in the cloud.
- Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired.
- AWS Certification, e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
