Experteer Overview
In this role you act as the contract administrator and technical authority on FIDIC-based projects, ensuring fair application of contract provisions while safeguarding quality, schedule, and budget. You will coordinate between employers, contractors, and stakeholders, review designs and submittals, and guide dispute resolution to prevent conflicts. Working onsite in Madrid, you contribute to data center projects within a global real estate services organization. This position offers a meaningful impact on project governance and delivery.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Administer FIDIC contracts (Red, Yellow, Silver books) as Engineer/Employer's Representative and issue instructions per contract terms
• Evaluate contractors' claims, variations, and extension of time requests with thorough documentation
• Chair project meetings and maintain stakeholder communications throughout the lifecycle
• Review technical submittals, monitor construction quality, and approve work certification
• Manage dispute resolution processes and provide expert contractual advice to prevent or resolve conflicts
• Issue payment certificates, assess financial implications of variations, and maintain audit-ready records
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field with experience in contract administration using FIDIC on major infrastructure projects
• Comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC procedures, documents, and implementation practices
• Strong technical background to review designs and understand complex engineering drawings
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to act impartially
• Proven analytical abilities and experience with contract administration software and project management tools
• Professional Engineering license, FIDIC accreditation, and/or membership in relevant professional bodies preferred; international project experience
• Data centers experience preferred
• On-site availability in Madrid, ESP
