About the Job:

- Our client is a leading Renewable Energy Developer and Operator with a significant and growing portfolio of solar PV and wind assets across Spain. As part of their international expansion and operational internalization, they are establishing a dedicated trading and bidding hub in Madrid.

Mission:

- The primary mission of this role is to lead the design, setup, and operational launch of the company’s new "Bidding Room" in Madrid. Working in close coordination with the international headquarters, the successful candidate will be responsible for transitioning market operations in-house to optimize the commercial performance of the Spanish energy portfolio.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will oversee the technical and organizational establishment of the department, focusing on:

- Operational Set-up: Managing necessary authorizations, selecting specialized software, and defining internal processes and organizational structures.
- Institutional Relations: Managing relationships with institutional counterparties and market regulators.




- Reviewing and renegotiating existing relationships with Market Representative Agents (MRAs).
- Defining and implementing bidding strategies to be executed through or discussed with MRAs.
- Strategic Leadership: Serving as the technical lead for the bidding room, ensuring all technical requirements are met for seamless market interaction.

Requirements:

- Experience: Between 5 and 10 years of experience specifically within the bidding room of a Spanish utility or a Market Representative Agent.
- University degree in Engineering, Economics, or other highly quantitative subjects.
- Market Knowledge: A solid background and deep, technical understanding of the Spanish power market.
- Languages: Fluency in Spanish (preferably native) and English is mandatory.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with various counterparties across different seniority levels and technical backgrounds.
