Experteer Overview
In this Senior Sales Engineer role, you’ll own the technical relationship with prospective merchants across the EEA, focusing on Southern Europe. You’ll guide solution design, integration, and go-live, translating merchant needs into Checkout.com API-based solutions. You’ll demo capabilities, build PoCs, and lead technical discussions to win deals, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position offers the chance to shape how merchants adopt a scalable payments platform in a fast-growing fintech company.

Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Position Checkout.com products, solutions and services in deals and act as a product/tech expert for account executives
• Understand merchant requirements and map them to APIs and products to create solution designs
• Run demos, build payment flows, create PoCs, and prepare presentations
• Lead technical interactions with merchants from initial chats to workshops until closure
• Support RFP/RFI responses and BID management
• Provide market and merchant feedback to enable product/platform improvements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, solutions, and Checkout.com platform

Responsabilidades




• 1–3 years in a technical, client-facing role (Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect / Pre-Sales / Implementation)
• Strong commercial drive and proactive approach
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
• Ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Able to translate tech jargon into business language
• Problem-solver able to diagnose issues using logs, API responses, and tests
• Highly organized with good prioritization
• Familiar with API-based integration methods (REST/JSON, Postman)
• Experience with at least one frontend (JavaScript, React, Angular) and one backend (Java, .NET, Python, Node) technology
• Exposure to RFI/RFP processes
• Understanding of end-to-end payment flow and related regulations
• Experience with 3DS, tokenisation, Apple/Google Pay, Open Banking, or fraud-risk engines
• Nice to have: PSD2/PSD3/PSR, ISO-8583; French/German; prior E-commerce experience
