Experteer Overview
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on the Search team in Barcelona, you design and operate systems that deliver highly relevant, personalized content at scale. You will work at the crossroads of backend engineering, data, and applied AI to build scalable search indexing, retrieval, and ranking for millions of readers in real time. You’ll partner with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust ML solutions, while embracing experimentation and modern architectures. This role offers an opportunity to shape how users discover and engage with content through advanced personalization and AI-enhanced understanding.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, build, and operate search systems powering content discovery and engagement
• Develop and improve ML models across the personalization stack from candidate generation to ranking
• Improve candidate retrieval using embeddings, two-tower architectures, and user/content signals
• Drive experimentation and A/B testing to measure impact and iterate on models
• Leverage LLMs to enhance content understanding and feature extraction




• Optimize system performance, latency, and scalability in high-traffic environments
• Contribute to engineering best practices including testing, observability, and CI/CD
• Collaborate with product, data science, and analysts to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

Responsabilidades
• 2-4 years of industry experience in ML with focus on recommender systems, search, ranking, or personalization
• Strong proficiency in Python for production ML systems
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, or equivalent work experience
