Job description: Senior SAP EWM ConsultantLocationBarcelona, Barcelona, SpainAs a Senior SAP EWM Consultant, you will serve as a subject-matter expert responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Extended Warehouse Management solutions across our global organization.

You willlead complex warehouse projects end-to-endwork closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to deliver scalable and high-performing warehouse operations.In this role, you will also act as a mentor to junior consultants and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our warehouse landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end SAP EWM implementations and rollouts across multiple global sites, ensuring alignment with business requirements and integration with SAP S/4HANA and ERP landscapesDesign and configure complex EWM processes including inbound/outbound logistics, warehouse task management, slotting,labor management, and yard management to support high-volume, multi-site warehouse operationsServe as the primary point of contact for global warehouse stakeholders; gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications, and oversee solution design, testing, and go-live activitiesProvide Level 3 support and troubleshooting for EWM-related issues across all regions; collaborate with Basis, ABAP development, and integration teams to resolve complex technical challengesMentor and coach junior and mid-level EWM consultants; contribute to knowledge-sharing practices, internal training sessions, and the continuous development of the teams EWM capabilityDefine and drive the EWM roadmap in collaboration with IT management and Supply Chain leadership; identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and system enhancements aligned with global business strategyCollaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, production,



transport management) to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain integration; manage interfaces between EWM and TM, MM, PP, and third-party WMS/automation systemsEnsure compliance with integral standards, local regulatory requirements, and change management best practices throughout the project lifecyclePrepare and maintain key documentation including functional specs, test scripts, training materials, and solution blueprintsQualifications: QualificationsMinimum 8 years of hands-on SAP EWM experience, with a proven track record of delivering minimum 3 complex, large-scale warehouse implementations in a global organizational contextDeep expertise in SAP EWM core processes (goods receipt/issue, putaway strategies, wave management, packing, physical inventory, RF framework) and proven experience integrating EWM with SAP S/4HANA, TM, and ERP modules (MM, PP, SD)Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (required); SAP EWM certification is strongly preferredFluent English (required); additional languages such as German, French, or Spanish are a plus given the global nature of the roleExperience with automation technologies (conveyor systems, sorters, goods-to-person systems) and familiarity with Agile/hybrid project methodologies; strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with ability to work across cultures and time zones (preferred)Why is This a Great Opportunity: This is an attractive opportunity if someone is looking for end to end ownership at an end client rather than consultancy.It offers stability in a small team SAP EWM experts (team of 2) if someone values work life balance and local work in Barcelona.It may appeal to a freelancer looking to convert to perm, The client is a well known manufacturer who employs over 46,000 people globally.
