In this fixed-term role, you apply marine modelling and data analysis to assess discharges’ effects on estuarine and coastal water quality, supporting evidence-based decisions. You work within the national Marine team to tackle projects across nuclear builds, infrastructure, and national environment programmes, delivering clear insights to partners.

The role combines technical leadership with collaboration in virtual teams, shaping water quality outcomes at scale.

- Model bathing water quality and nutrient loads in estuaries

Responsabilidades

- Experience in data analysis
- Knowledge of modelling software
- Proficiency with Excel, Access, R, Power BI, GIS
- Experience with specialist packages like Mike or Cormix is an advantage
- Ability to review complex reports and communicate key issues to non-technical audiences
- Interpret monitoring data and model outputs to support environmental protection
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across dispersed teams
- Willingness to travel for occasional national meetings
- Knowledge of water quality and the marine environment is essential
- Comfort with virtual teamwork and training opportunities
