We are currently hiring an F5 Network & Security Engineer to join one of the largest energy transmission companies in Europe. This role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade F5 BIG-IP solutions supporting mission-critical infrastructure, application delivery, security, and high availability within a complex multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement F5 BIG-IP solutions for application delivery and network traffic management.
- Develop load balancing and high-availability architectures for enterprise applications.
- Configure and administer:
- Virtual Servers
- Pools
- Nodes
- Health Monitors
- iRules
- SSL Profiles
- Traffic Policies
- Manage SSL/TLS certificates, SSL offloading, encryption, traffic inspection, and reporting.
- Deploy and maintain F5 Advanced Web Application Firewall (AWAF) policies.
- Integrate authentication and access management using F5 APM and enterprise identity services.
- Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and service optimization.
- Support incident, problem, and change management activities.
- Execute security patching, software upgrades, and lifecycle management of F5 infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot application delivery, connectivity, and performance issues,



performing root cause analysis.
- Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, and operations teams to deliver secure and reliable services.

Required Skills:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, ICT, Telecommunications, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong experience with F5 BIG-IP solutions in enterprise environments.
- Experience designing and implementing load balancing and high-availability architectures.
- Hands-on experience with:
- F5 LTM
- F5 APM
- F5 AWAF / ASM
- iRules
- SSL Profiles
- Traffic Policies
- Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates and encryption.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking in enterprise, multi-site, and data center environments.
- Experience with enterprise firewall technologies such as:
- Check Point
- Palo Alto
- Fortinet
- Juniper
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and application delivery issues.
- Understanding of network security concepts and architectures.
- Ability to work independently and manage operational priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Good working knowledge of Dutch and French.
