About the Role
As a Materials Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the availability of raw materials required to support the production of semi-finished and finished goods. You will be responsible for balancing material availability, supplier performance, inventory levels, and working capital targets while ensuring a reliable and efficient supply chain operation. We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, thrives on collaboration, and is motivated to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
- Material Planning: Execute and continuously monitor material plans to ensure the availability of raw materials required for the production of semi-finished and finished goods.
- Supplier Management: Track supplier performance against agreed service levels, identify potential risks, and escape issues when necessary.
- Forecast Sharing: Communicate raw material forecasts to suppliers to support effective supply planning and alignment with business needs.
- Order Management: Create and manage supplier call-offs, ensuring materials are ordered and delivered according to production requirements.
- Delivery Follow-Up: Monitor order confirmations, shipment status, and delivery performance to secure uninterrupted material flow.
- Inventory Optimization:
Support inventory management activities to maintain appropriate stock levels while balancing working capital objectives.
- Master Data Maintenance: Ensure planning and procurement master data is accurate, up to date, and aligned with operational requirements.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in materials planning, logistics, supply chain, or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP, planning tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and make decisions with limited information.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across functions and with suppliers.
