What’s happening

We are seeking a curious, purpose-driven, and media-savvy Account Director (7–9 years’ experience) to join our team in Brussels. This role is designed for a communications strategist who thrives at the intersection of business, media, and culture.

In this role, you will serve as the strategic partner for clients across our different portfolios, with a focus on our Belgian Market work. You will translate business objectives into highly effective integrated PR campaigns, leading dedicated account teams and utilizing advanced analytics to measure real-world impact.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing relationships with clients, media, and colleagues at all levels. Fluency in Dutch and/or French, along with a strong command of English, is essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key attributes:

- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through corporate positioning, reputation management and integrated media strategy.
- Develop clear, structured communications plans and ensure their day-to-day execution together with the account team.




- Counsel clients and colleagues on establishing effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Craft compelling narratives and content for different stakeholders. Work closely with subject matter experts to uncover news-worthy angles that earn attention.
- Maintain a sharp understanding of local news cycles and cultural shifts. You know how to tailor narratives distinctly for the different media environments in Belgium. (Familiarity with the pan-European/Brussels EU media ecosystem is a distinct advantage).
- Use social and analytics tools to track campaign performance, delivering clear, actionable reporting to clients and continuously optimize results.
- Contribute to agency development, and participate in new business development
- Mentor, coach and develop your direct reports, fostering a supportive environment that encourages innovative thinking.

Ideal Experience Required:

- 7-9 years’ experience in public relations (agency or in-house) with a proven track record of delivering effective campaigns in corporate communications.
- You are a consumer of news. You follow the conversations in Belgium shaping the economy, sustainability, tech, and social impact.
- You bring an active, reliable network of relationships across Belgian media (national journalists, editors, podcasters, and digital creators) that you can leverage for clients (knowledge of the pan-European/Brussels media landscape is a plus).
- You possess strong cross-cultural communication skills, grounded in an understanding that the Belgian market requires a tailored, dual-layered approach to media relations.
- Demonstrated success with media strategy, story development, and pitching and content creation.
- Experience writing PR plans and proposals with clarity and strategic insight.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- You are a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments, juggling multiple workstreams and client needs without missing a beat.
- Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a good command of English.
