Group Quality Engineer

? Location: Belgium | ✈️ Travel: ~30%

About the Role

We are looking for a Group Quality Engineer to support production plants and suppliers across Europe on quality, compliance, audits, and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with QHSE, Production, R&D;, Engineering, and Purchasing teams to strengthen quality standards, resolve technical issues, and drive consistent processes across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Align and improve quality standards across production plants and key suppliers.
- Conduct quality, process, supplier, and customer audits.
- Investigate and resolve technical production non-conformities.
- Support the implementation and development of ISO 9001 and EN 1090.
- Drive continuous improvement and quality projects.
- Develop technical specifications, procedures, and quality policies.
- Create measurement reports using conventional tools, 3D measuring arms, and scanners.




- Support R&D; and Engineering with new product development.
- Provide technical quality support to the Purchasing team.
- Collaborate with local QHSE Managers across international production sites.
- Travel approximately 30% to production plants, suppliers, and customer sites.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electromechanics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a metal-processing/manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management, audits, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and/or EN 1090 is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English
- Team-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working in a production environment.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
