Liquid Gas Europe is looking for a Policy Communications & Events Trainee to join our Brussels-based team from 1 September 2026.
About Liquid Gas Europe
Liquid Gas Europe is the Brussels-based association representing the European liquid gas industry. We work with companies and national associations across Europe to ensure that liquid and renewable liquid gases contribute to a secure, affordable and just energy transition.
Joining our small and dynamic team will give you hands-on experience in European association communications, advocacy campaigns and high-profile industry and policy events.
What will you work on?
? Policy communications and campaigns
You will help turn complex EU policy developments and industry positions into clear, accurate and engaging communications. This will include contributing to communication campaigns, social media content, newsletters, website articles, publications and presentations.
? Events and event communications
You will support the organisation, promotion and communication of:
• the European Liquid Gas Congress, our flagship annual industry event;
• policy events involving EU decision-makers and stakeholders;
• webinars, conferences, meetings and other member activities.
Your work will cover the full communications cycle—from developing promotional content and supporting participant engagement to providing on-site assistance and communicating the outcomes of events.
✍️ Content creation
You will help develop written and visual content for different audiences and communication channels, ensuring that Liquid Gas Europe’s messages are professional, accessible and engaging.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who:
• writes extremely well in English and can communicate complex subjects clearly;
• is passionate about communications, campaigns and events;
• is highly organised, reliable and attentive to detail;
• can manage several tasks and deadlines without losing sight of priorities;
• is proactive, creative and comfortable contributing ideas;
• is interested in European affairs, energy and sustainability;
• enjoys working collaboratively in a small, international team.
Knowledge of French or another European language and experience with social media, website management, graphic-design tools or event organisation would be an advantage.
Practical information
? Location: Brussels
? Intended starting date: September 2026
⏳ Intended duration: 12 months
? Framework: Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle — CIP
? A monthly traineeship allowance will be provided in accordance with the applicable CIP rules.
The 12-month duration is subject to approval of the training programme and the required derogation from Bruxelles Formation. The traineeship may not form part of a degree or academic curriculum.
Candidates must be legally entitled to undertake a traineeship in Belgium. Candidates from outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland must hold the necessary Belgian work authorisation.
