At Itron, innovation doesn't end in the lab. As an NPI Engineer, you will bridge R&D; and Manufacturing, leading the industrialization of new electronic products from concept through production launch. Working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality, you will ensure new products are delivered on time, at the right quality and at the right cost.
More than a manufacturing role, this is an opportunity to shape how future products are designed and brought to market. By collaborating with general teams and influencing design decisions early in the development cycle, you will help turn innovative ideas into scalable, reliable and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead New Product Introduction projects from concept through production transfer.
- Partner with R&D; teams to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
- Coordinate prototype builds, pilot runs and production ramp-ups.
- Drive DFM, DFA and PFMEA activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
- Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and EMS partners worldwide.
- Manage BOMs, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and product lifecycle changes.
- Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
The challenges ahead
- Ensure successful industrialization of next-generation electronic products.
- Prepare manufacturing sites and EMS partners for seamless production launches.
- Influence product design decisions before products reach production.
- Coordinate stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality.
- Strengthen and continuously improve Itron's NPI framework and best practices.
