Provide support for the shipping department to ensure all Domestic and International shipments are processed and /arranged accurately within all customer, company and governmental regulations.

A Day In The Life

Roles & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide office/data entry support to the warehouse organization related to arrangements of Domestic orders requiring contact for pickup and all International shipments related to all customer orders shipped from the Reading facility.
- Support the shipping operation with all required documentation for arrangements of Domestic and International shipments. This would include interfacing with freight forwarders, Export Compliance Team, Country of Origin Team, and the Material Classification Team.
- Contact forwarding agents for written confirmation of export shipments (SLI’s) and arrange all documentation to support this requirement and finalize the AES/ITN for export.
- Ensure that customer orders are shipped according to confirmed date.



Investigate why orders are past ship date and providing OPSD reports to the management team for review.
- Ensure all required export documentation is saved and archived for international shipments per our Data Retention policy.
- Contact COD customers to provide shipping rates and product cost prior to delivery. Contact customers when notification is required prior to delivery of order.
- Request and provide proof of deliveries on problem shipments. Initiate internal tracking on mis-shipments and provide feedback to customer service. Initiate claims with carriers for lost/damaged shipments.
- Interface with the various Customer Service teams to clarify instructions, as well as request updates for shipping arrangement support.
- Perform quarterly duties (i.e. First 10, Last 10 report) for our Financial Audit reporting.
