Job Overview

Assists workers in various wiring methods and procedures with products being assembled or modified according to electrical code.

A Day In The Life
- Ensure pulled parts for specific assemblies agree with Bill of Material and work orders.
- Prepares subassemblies as necessary.
- Set up, maintenance and operation of a variety of equipment such as index tables, drill presses, soldering machine, air and electric presses, Hubbell drivers, electric grinder, wire strippers, air drivers, ballast testing equipment, PLC, die changes, die maintenance etc.
- Provides inspection of wiring products to ensure it meets electrical codes.
- Performs monthly preventive maintenance on all assembly equipment.
- Ensures products are being built in accordance with specifications.
- Repairs faulty assembly.
- Prepares specialized packaging
- Assemble finished products.
- May package finished product and transport to holding area using motorized lift truck(s)
- Other duties related to assembly operation.

- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to read and understand wiring schematics.
- Ability to use all tools, machines and equipment related to the respective department.
- Good organization and housekeeping skills.
- Extensive product knowledge.
- Minimum successful completion of 2 year Electrical Engineering Technology program
- Work well with others.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Valid equipment operating licenses will be required for Drexel, Tow Motors and Man-up Order Picker or any additional equipment purchased by Hubbell
