An opportunity for a Software Developer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Airbus Flight Physics Capability Operations team (1GZC).

The 1GZC team is a transnational and multidisciplinary team responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining a rich portfolio of Aircraft Performance Modelling & Simulation tools. We develop the software that enables our aircraft to fly safely and efficiently in all flight phases and equip aircraft avionics systems with on-board performance data.
In this role, you will work at the heart of aircraft performance engineering:
- Low-Speed Flight Regimes:
You will work with "OCTOPUS" (our certified A/C performance software built on Fortran77) and contribute to "Optima", a Python-based simulation backbone preparing the next-generation kernels.
- On-Board Tools: You will help evolve tools that generate and deliver performance databases embedded within critical avionics functions, like the Flight Management System (FMS).
- Future Innovation: You will help prepare for future advancements, such as single-pilot operations and optimized flight operations benefiting from new IT systems and computing resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
