Workster is partnering with a general technology and services organization to recruit an Accounting Specialist to join their on-site team in Barcelona. This role offers the opportunity to work in a stable, international environment while developing your accounting expertise within a structured finance function.
Your Role
- Record and classify accounting transactions in the general ledger (income, expenses, assets, liabilities)
- Prepare and review balance sheets, financial statements, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports
- Reconcile bank accounts and customer/supplier accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Manage invoicing, collections, and payments, including correct VAT application and tax compliance
- Support the preparation of tax declarations (VAT, income tax, corporate tax)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial documentation
- Support internal and external audits by providing financial data and documentation
- Assist with financial forecasts, reporting, and analysis
- Monitor inventories and fixed assets,



posting necessary accounting adjustments
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Your Qualifications
- Fluent Spanish and advanced English (written and spoken)
- 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial processes
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks
- Team-oriented approach with good communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
