Job Overview

As a Trainee Field Engineer at OmniAccess, you will gain your first hands‑on exposure to the field engineering world. You will learn how we install, commission, and troubleshoot onboard IT networks, 4G/5G, Starlink satellite communications, and traditional VSAT systems. You will travel mostly across Europe, but also to other parts of the world.

Key Responsibilities

- Shadowing senior engineers during installations.
- Assisting with basic tool usage and equipment preparation.
- Supporting cable runs and patch work.
- Learning the documentation process and assisting with installation reports.
- Following safety procedures and onboarding instructions.
- Building foundational understanding of VSAT and WAN technologies.
- Carrying out simpler installations and routine interventions independently when site complexity allows,



with remote support from senior engineers when needed.
- Contributing to cross‑functional activities supporting other departments such as PMO, Solutions Architect, Training, Logistics, Sales Engineering, Service Delivery and TSC, depending on workload and team needs.

Main Challenge

Gaining initial field exposure and developing basic technical and soft skills, absorbing foundational knowledge while navigating field operations including understanding VSAT and WAN technologies, learning effective tool usage, and developing the ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly.
