To support our dynamic culinary team, we are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant / Commis Chef (Ayudante de Cocina) to join our team in Marbella, Spain .

In this key culinary support role, you will assist line cooks and station chefs in preparing dishes according to exact technical recipe sheets. Specifically, you will handle food preparation (mise en place), maintain cold chain integrity, support buffet setup and breakdown, and keep kitchen stations clean and compliant with food safety standards.

Your Mission: Culinary Support & Kitchen Operations

Your primary goal involves driving culinary success across our resort’s dining venues. To achieve this, you will deliver efficient food preparation and maintain station organization. At the same time, you will keep cold storage units clean and aligned with strict resort standards. Therefore, you will chop garnishes, assist with buffet assemblies, and prepare basic dishes following recipe guides. Additionally, you will log wasted products and maintain kitchen hygiene post-service. As a result, you will eliminate service bottlenecks and protect our resort’s reputation for culinary excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Food Prep & Service Support: Clean, peel, and cut raw ingredients for garnishes. Furthermore, prepare simple menu items following technical recipe cards and presentation guidelines.
- Buffet Operations: Assist line chefs with the setup, ongoing maintenance, and breakdown of the resort buffet service.
- Cold Chain & Stock Hygiene: Store received produce correctly, maintaining cold chain protocols and organizing refrigerator units to guarantee product preservation.




- Station Cleaning & Sanitation: Clean work tables, kitchen stations, and utensils post-service to leave the kitchen fully prepped for the next shift.
- Quality & Waste Monitoring: Inspect raw ingredient quality continuously. In addition, assist supervisors in logging kitchen waste (mermas) and reporting equipment defects.
- Safety & Compliance: Comply with quality, occupational health, environmental, and food safety standards established by the group.

Who You Are: The Motivated & Disciplined Culinary Support

- Educational Background: You hold a Vocational Degree (Grado Medio or Superior) in Culinary Arts/Gastronomy or equivalent, along with a valid Food Handler Certificate (Carné de Manipulador de Alimentos).
- Proven Foundations: You bring at least 1 year of experience working as a Kitchen Assistant inside 4-star or higher luxury hotel kitchens.
- The Linguist: English language skills are considered a valuable asset in our international guest environment.
- Key Competencies: You demonstrate excellent teamwork, speed, attention to detail, food respect, and strong discipline during fast-paced service hours.
