Qualifications

- Recognized Marine/Engineering qualification from Maritime college.
- 10+ years of related experience in hydraulics and fluid system maintenance and repair; superior knowledge of BOPs and control systems, riser tensioners, CMC functions, wellhead equipment, and running tools.
- Ability to perform accurate calculations for riser runs and tensioners.
- Valid IWCF Well Control Surface and Subsea, Level 4 certificate and BOSIET CA‑EBS.
- 5+ years of experience working with IFS.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and mentor others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior troubleshooting, decision‑making, and problem‑resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and with diverse groups, recognize conflict, plan and delegate, and think globally.
- Skilled in time management, establishing priorities, handling multiple tasks daily, and following through to completion.
- Proficient in office applications and other systems required for the position.

Essential Functions

Operations

Work with rig management and supervisors for planning operations and evolutions related to subsea systems and maintenance. Organize, brief, and directly control assistance teams for pulling the Blowout Preventer (BOP) stack. Maintain knowledge of drilling operations to assemble and disassemble inter‑related equipment. Interface with all key rig personnel during drilling to support subsea and surface support equipment. Perform calculations for fluids, total BOP and riser string weights, nitrogen pre‑charge in accumulator bottles, water depths, and equipment impact.

Move heavy equipment; install subsea equipment efficiently. Pre‑plan evolutions for most efficient, time‑effective operations. Work with the Materials Coordinator to keep spare parts levels and records under control. Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance & Repair





Install and maintain all subsea BOP stack and lower marine riser package components, including riser joints, telescopic joints, diverters, tensioners, and associated equipment. Maintain and test all drilling or marine related subsea and surface support equipment. Troubleshoot and recommend corrective actions to the Rig Manager. Witness pressure, latch‑up, and weight set tests. Maintain internal and external lubrication and preservation of all subsea equipment. Perform measurements of operator‑provided equipment. Advise the Rig Manager of potential complications. Install and maintain the riser and assist drill crews with crown‑mounted compensators. Maintain and repair surface unit high‑pressure hydraulics. Assist electronics technician with controls. Maintain and install Christmas trees used in well completion. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, overhaul equipment, and report to division management as required.

Health, Safety & Environmental

Implement and uphold Noble's safety policies and procedures. Ensure all personnel are familiar with Noble's Management System. Ensure operations proceed safely, correct unsafe acts, and meet regulatory environmental protection requirements. Promote a zero‑incident workplace and encourage the use of Noble's Hazard Identification Tool. Attend daily pre‑tour and weekly safety meetings. Initiate safety stand‑downs and perform emergency duties. Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis and hazard assessments. Assist in audit processes to ensure compliance with Noble's Management System and Section VIII of the ECP. Responsible for compliance with all government regulations.
