Palma
Naval architect/ Marine engineer/ Marine Designer required for immediate start, working alongside in-house sailmakers and composite engineers at One Palma Superyacht Service. You will be working in a dynamic, data-driven, research and development-led team, based out of our new facility in Palma de Mallorca.
Responsibilities
- Assessing project requirements and researching feasibility
- Planning and supervising the construction of sails and composite parts
- Producing detailed designs of sails and composite parts for yachts, using drawings and specialist computer software
- Developing and utilizing test procedures including computer modeling and scale models
- Interpreting and analyzing data and test results
- Sourcing and purchasing components, equipment and materials
- Ensuring adherence to appropriate health and safety legislation/standards
- Identifying the need for, and supervising, repairs
- Writing reports and documentation
- Giving presentations
- Undertaking relevant research
- Providing technical advice
- Answering queries from clients.
Profile
- A team player.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- A degree in a relevant subject such as naval architecture, marine or mechanical engineering, engineering design or civil or structural engineering.
- Relevant shipyard/design office work experience is desirable.
