- Support Engineering Technical Branch (ETB) operations, including ship stability calculations and monitoring during casualties, drills, or emergent events

- Participate in ETB drills and training, and respond to casualty events, including weekends and holidays as required

- Provide logistics support,

including material identification and repair requirement development

- Deliver on-the-job training (OJT) and technical guidance to ship’s force personnel on inspection and maintenance practices

- Obtain and utilize technical documentation from FDRMC Technical Library, OEM sources, and other repositories

- Travel as required to support forward-deployed naval forces across multiple OCONUS locations

Minimum Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience in the inspection of U.S. Navy shipboard hull, structural, and coating systems

- Ability to perform structural assessments, corrosion evaluations, and repair planning

- Knowledge of ship stability principles and ability to support stability calculations during casualty response

- Familiarity with Navy maintenance and reporting systems such as MFOM/NMD, FTS, MAFs, and CADET

- Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation

- Willingness to complete the Shipboard Corrosion Assessment Technician course within 6 months of hire

- Ability to obtain and maintain CADET database access upon onboarding

- Ability to work independently at a journeyman level in a fast-paced operational environment

- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including extended OCONUS and shipboard assignments

- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

- Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

- Experience supporting U.S. Navy surface ships or submarines, particularly in forward-deployed environments

- Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and NAVSEA standards

- Experience supporting TSRA, INSURV, ICMP, or pre-deployment assessments

- Background in corrosion control programs and coating system management

- Experience conducting dry-docking assessments and structural inspections

- Proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, FEMAP, or similar modeling/analysis software

- Prior experience supporting Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) or working at a Regional Maintenance Center (RMC)
