CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading?edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences.

CRAG is a consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB).

The Center is located at the UAB Campus and currently hosts 200 members from around the world.

Research Programs

Research programs at CRAG span fundamental science to applied research using plant model systems, crops, and farm animals.

They make extensive use of genomic technologies and large collections of genetic and genomic data ().

Responsibilities

- Design, perform, and analyze research experiments.
- Collaborate in the development of approaches to analyze the regulation and impact of transposable elements in plant genomes.

Candidate Will Be In Charge Of

- Design, perform and analyze research experiments.
- Collaborate in the development of approaches to analyze the regulation and impact of TEs in plant genomes.

Requirements

- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics or a closely related field.
- Ample experience in plant genome analysis,



including bioinformatics approaches for genome assembly and population analyses.
- Previous knowledge and research experience in centromere evolution analysis.
- Previous knowledge and research experience in plant transposable elements.

Skills

- Creativity, independence, collaborative capacity, good oral and written communication skills.
