You will lead functional safety efforts within a general powertrain division, shaping safety governance and compliance across projects. The role sits in the Technology department and collaborates with customers and suppliers to ensure ISO 26262 adherence. You tackle safety analyses, define safety plans and cases, and drive risk reduction through structured action plans. You will work in a dynamic, international environment focused on safe, reliable hybrid and combustion powertrains. • Define and maintain the Functional Safety Plan in line with ISO 26262.
• Coordinate Development Interface Agreement (DIA) for safety compliance.
• Identify and prioritize EIC events and URP usages; approve Safety Case and escalate safety decisions.
• Create action plans to remediate safety issues and analyze root causes.
• Identify degraded modes and define validation plans for Safety-related testing.
• Define Safety Compliance matrix and provide operational safety opinions at milestones.
• Manage DDMRS and oversee competence and training for functional safety.
• Coordinate safety activities with customers and suppliers.
Responsabilidades
• Master's Degree in Automotive Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Systems Engineering or Mechatronics or Computer Science (with automotive or embedded focus)
• ISO 26262 Functional Safety Certification (e.g., TÜV, Exida)
• 4-8 years of experience in functional safety projects
• Proven experience leading ISO 26262 audits and managing cross-functional teams and suppliers
• Familiarity with ASPICE and quality standards
• ISO 26262 expertise across lifecycle and work products
• Safety governance: creating and maintaining Safety Plans and Safety Cases
• Risk analysis methods: HARA, ASIL, FMEA, FTA
• Project management: integrating safety activities into schedules and deliverables
• Supplier management: assessing and ensuring supplier safety compliance
• Tool proficiency: DOORS, Polarion; safety analysis tools
• Audit and assessment: planning and executing reviews, audits, assessments
• Experience with Internal Combustion Engines / Hybrids powertrains
• System architecture definition and embedded SW architecture knowledge
