Experteer Overview
In this role you will shape how Rondo sources electricity to charge our Heat Battery projects, from early framing to final contracting. You will work with cross-functional teams to influence project economics, market expansion, and policy conditions that enable electrified industrial heat. Expect to build power price views, manage procurement processes, and engage with IPPs and utilities to secure viable power supplies. You contribute to reducing world CO2 emissions while scaling at general reach.

• Develop power pricing and sourcing strategies for new Heat Battery projects
• Secure tools and partners for accurate power market forecasts and grid connection support
• Engage with IPPs, traders, utilities, and renewable developers for pricing and offers
• Structure and negotiate electricity procurement agreements (VPPA, grid charging, off-grid, hybrid sourcing)
• Lead or support RFIs/RFPs, evaluating offers on commercial, technical, and regulatory criteria
• Identify and negotiate commercial terms for power supply agreements, hedges, and hybrid structures
• Build deep understanding of European, Australian, and US wholesale/retail markets and their dynamics




• Assess regulatory frameworks and reforms, identifying risks and opportunities for deployment
• Coordinate with leadership and policy partners to advance reforms supporting electrified industrial heat
• Track energy policy changes and develop roadmaps to enable participation in target markets
• Collaborate with regional leadership to refine expansion strategy

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Energy Economics
• Minimum 3 years' experience in power procurement, renewable project development, energy trading, or related fields (European markets); US/Australia a plus
• Strong understanding of PPAs, wholesale power markets, and energy-as-a-service models
• Proven experience negotiating commercial power supply contracts with IPPs, traders, utilities, and network operators
• Ability to develop market views and translate complexity into commercial recommendations
• Advanced Excel proficiency with financial modeling and scenario analysis
• Fluency in English; other European languages a plus
