In this role you will manage revenue recognition under US GAAP within the Accounting Center of Excellence, ensuring accurate reporting and strong internal controls. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review contracts, set up projects, and support closing and audit activities. You will drive process improvements and share best practices to elevate the team’s efficiency and accuracy. This position offers exposure to complex revenue processes across projects, contracts, and intercompany activities, contributing to reliable financial reporting.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Oversee revenue recognition following US GAAP standards
• Develop, document, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Apply Policy IQ for correct project setup to recognize revenue
• Review ERP entries (sales orders and projects) for correct setup per contract conditions
• Participate in weekly POC and monthly EAC meetings with project managers; document SOX controls related to revenue
• Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations to review contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition
• Support month, quarter, and year end closing activities within JBTM deadlines
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Confirm intercompany balances with JBTM partner entities for overtime and intercompany advances




• Collect documents as proof of shipment to avoid revenue cutoff issues
• Participate in monthly balance sheet reviews with business and SSC
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues
• Support OneStream reporting for accuracy
• Ensure integrity of all financial transactions per US GAAP and JBT standards
• Support internal and external audit requests and remediation of findings
• Document SOPs and instructions for accounting procedures
• Share best practices within the CoE and help implement them
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead implementation
• Collaborate with teams to refine accounting operations
• Participate in special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SL9, O365)
• Strong experience ensuring SOX compliance
• Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
