Experteer Overview
In this role, you will advance detection and mitigation technologies by conducting cutting-edge security research, building analysis and automation tools, and guiding implementation to strengthen Cisco’s product security. You’ll develop PoCs, triage vulnerabilities, and craft detailed methodologies to support secure deployments. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate research into practical protections, influencing the security posture across Cisco’s products. This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity to shape defense in depth in a global tech leader.

• Conduct security research and develop vulnerability analysis and mitigation tools
• Create static and run-time analysis tooling to identify root causes of vulnerabilities
• Build automation environments to test scenarios and results




• Perform vulnerability triage and PoC exploit development for detection content
• Produce technical reports, testing methodologies, and summaries
• Research emerging technologies, protocols, and testing methodologies
• Develop PoC exploits for testing mitigations
• Perform patch analysis to trigger vulnerabilities
• Reverse engineer binaries, protocols, and formats
• Provide security-focused expertise to engineering teams

Responsabilidades
• Vulnerability research or exploit/mitigation development on Linux systems
• Significant experience with C/C++ and a scripting language (e.g., Python) and assembly (x86/x64, ARM)
