Experteer Overview
In this role you will bridge Product, Fraud Operations, and the Applied AI team to turn model outputs and signals into actionable intelligence. You’ll own the fraud rule lifecycle, design early-warning alerts, and forecast losses to inform leadership. You’ll help keep Preply’s marketplace safe while enabling growth and scale. You will collaborate across functions to translate observations into analytical improvements and evaluate third-party providers. This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity at a global learning platform.

• Leverage ML outputs to improve fraud detection while balancing coverage and false positives
• Own the fraud rule lifecycle from design to retirement with clear coverage and trade-offs
• Partner with Fraud Operations to identify abuse patterns and drive analytical improvements
• Design and maintain alerting systems to detect threats early
• Forecast fraud losses and chargeback volumes for leadership visibility
• Define and own north star metrics and KPIs for fraud prevention for executive clarity
• Act as data bridge between Product and Applied AI to guide model updates and roadmap




• Support evaluation of third-party fraud prevention providers using data-driven criteria
• Collaborate with Data and Analytics Engineering to ensure compliant data tracking and governance (PII)

Responsabilidades
• 4+ years in fraud analytics, risk analysis, or payments/trust u0026 safety domain
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency for queries, monitoring, and statistical analysis
• Experience designing dashboards or alerting systems with signal-to-noise discipline
• Strong analytical communication for both operational and executive audiences
• Experience collaborating with Operations, Engineering, and Product
• Ability to leverage AI tools as multipliers while critically assessing outputs
• Experience mentoring junior/mid-level analysts to raise team quality
• Nice to have: marketplace/two-sided platform experience; payment processing concepts; regulatory exposure (PSD2/3, AML, KYC)
