Experteer Overview
As a Front-end engineer at Rakuten TV, you will shape TV-centric web experiences that millions of users rely on monthly. You’ll join an experienced, cross-functional team to deliver end-to-end UI features for TV applications. You will optimize interfaces for various Smart TV platforms and contribute to a scalable frontend stack. This role offers the chance to influence product direction in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You will work closely with backend, product, and design to deliver polished features that align with our mission of premium entertainment experiences on TV.

Responsabilidades
• 5+ years of JavaScript experience with React in TV environments
• Experience with monorepo (pnpm)




• Experience creating and maintaining reusable UI libraries (Storybook)
• Experience with focus/navigation systems on TVs
• Experience integrating design systems from Figma to code
• Experience publishing packages to npm registry and managing TV applications (Samsung Seller Office, LG Store, Google Play)
• Experience with HTML5 video players and players like hls.js, Shaka Player, or Dash Player
• Experience with VAST
• Experience optimizing rendering on low-performant devices (TVs/set-top boxes)
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript and modern frontend tooling
• Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies and testing strategies
• Willingness to research new technologies and propose optimal solutions
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver polished features
• Participation in setting long-term direction, roadmaps, and standards for the web app
