Experteer Overview
In this role you will design and build next-generation Enterprise Search and information retrieval systems powered by Generative AI. You will work on scalable AI-enabled search, agentic orchestration, and deep semantic understanding to improve relevance and performance at enterprise scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data science solutions, contributing to decisions and proofs of value. This opportunity offers hands-on experimentation with cutting-edge AI to shape enterprise search capabilities at Roche.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead model development, experimentation, evaluation and optimization for ML/AI-enabled search solutions
• Drive RAG experimentation and agentic AI search, including design of evaluation frameworks
• Develop and deploy LLM-based search components and advanced prompts
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical approaches and scalable intelligence
• Conduct PoC, knowledge-sharing sessions and deliver impactful demos
• Build data pipelines for structured/unstructured data,



processing and feature engineering
• Experiment with vector databases and embeddings to enhance search accuracy
• Deploy, test, and monitor ML models and endpoints; ensure interoperability with APIs and MCP protocols

Responsabilidades
• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field
• Rising expert in predictive modeling and analytical module ownership
• Ability to own complex data problems and deliver independently
• Experience with moderately complex data science problems within medium-sized architectures
• Strong Python programming
• Experience in information retrieval and NLP
• Hands-on ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Cloud experience (AWS or Azure); Git and Agile practices
• Experience with search engines/IR and relevancy tuning (Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene) is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Healthcare/pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
