Lead a mid-size design organization within Dow Jones to deliver portfolio-wide design excellence. Partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into measurable design programs and scalable capabilities. Drive talent development, governance, and cross-functional alignment across Marketing, Editorial, Data u0026amp; AI, and Research. • Lead a mid-size organization spanning a major product or business unit and set portfolio-level design direction
• Own program-level outcomes that align with business objectives and translate needs into measurable design initiatives
• Build strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders (peer Directors, Sr. Directors, VPs) to align on complex objectives
• Develop talent strategy by coaching managers, guiding cross-functional collaboration, and influencing hiring and recruiting
• Create strategic thinking capabilities across the portfolio by partnering with Data u0026 AI and Research to inform strategy




• Establish scalable design operations, defining essential vs. adaptable processes to balance efficiency with autonomy
• Champion design quality and connect it to business impact through measurable benchmarks

Responsabilidades
• 12+ years in product design with 5+ years in leadership involving managers or large-scale initiatives
• Proven track record leading portfolio-level design initiatives with measurable business impact
• Excellence in stakeholder management with ability to influence senior leaders across functions
• Strong organizational development skills including talent planning, performance management, succession planning
• Business and strategic acumen with ability to link design initiatives to OKRs and ROI
• Experience with design operations at scale and governance across multiple teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
