As Senior Legal Counsel for the Exchanges unit, you provide strategic legal support to a key SIX Group business line operating the Spanish Stock Exchange. You work cross-border with colleagues in Switzerland and the UK, shaping compliant, robust solutions across jurisdictions. You assess regulatory risks tied to market infrastructure, trading rules, and product categories, guiding the business through complex frameworks. You will contribute to corporate governance and regulatory submissions, impacting the efficiency and resilience of Spain’s financial markets. This role offers international exposure, a collaborative team, and the chance to deepen expertise in securities law.

Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Provide legal advice on day-to-day and strategic initiatives for the Exchanges unit, including cross-border projects
• Assess initiatives for compliance with Spanish and EU laws (e.g., Securities Market and Investment Services Act, MiFID/MiFIR), competition, contract, and exchange rules




• Advise on legal risks and options within trading of securities (equities, structured products, ETFs, bonds)
• Prepare submissions and liaise with CNMV and other authorities
• Support internal stakeholders across the BU Exchanges and Corporate Functions
• Assist with company secretarial matters for Spanish entities and coordinate board papers

Responsabilidades
• Master's degree in Law and admission to the Spanish Bar
• 4-5 years of relevant experience (law firm with financial regulation exposure or in-house counsel in finance)
• Pragmatic, analytical, and able to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
• Strong interest in exchange business and market operations; desire to specialize in securities law
• Business-fluent English; Spanish or German knowledge is a plus
