Experteer Overview
As Senior Legal Counsel in the EMEA team, you will provide commercially focused legal guidance to senior stakeholders across a fast-growing global travel business. You’ll handle multi-jurisdictional issues, lead compliance across data protection, consumer protection and digital regulation, and support regulatory interactions. You’ll draft and negotiate contracts with travel partners, train and empower the business on legal matters, and help scale processes in a multicultural, international environment. This role offers impact across strategy, operations and regulation, with a clear path to broader global responsibility.

• Provide commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders on key projects and initiatives
• Navigate multi-jurisdictional EMEA issues and coordinate with other Trip.com Group legal teams
• Lead compliance across data protection, consumer protection, digital and technology regulation, marketing and travel-specific regulation
• Monitor legislative developments in EMEA and drive timely compliance projects
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts with travel product suppliers and partners
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across commercial, finance, HR and marketing
• Explain complex legal concepts clearly and deliver training and practical guidance to embed legal awareness
• Manage and resolve commercial and consumer disputes in collaboration with internal teams
• Engage regulators and collaborate with European legal teams within the group
• Instruct and manage relationships with external law firms to ensure quality, cost-effective support
• Contribute to legal process improvements and scalable tools for a fast-paced international business
• Collaborate within a dynamic, multicultural legal team across jurisdictions
Responsabilidades
• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience
• In-house experience and at least 4 years practising in Spain or Germany
• Background in B2C or tech platform environment advantageous
• Strong technical grounding across relevant legal disciplines and regulatory landscape for international online business
• Commercially minded with ability to provide clear, actionable advice
• Confident communicator capable of influencing senior stakeholders
• Collaborative and able to work across borders in a multicultural setting
• Proactive, self-motivated with ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
• Fluency in English essential; fluency in Spanish or German required depending on location
• Passion for travel industry and understanding of international regulatory dynamics across EMEA
