Experteer Overview
In this role you lead structural design for AWS data centers across the EMEA region, guiding prototypical facilities and ensuring secure, efficient, and cost-effective builds. You work within a creative design team to solve large-scale challenges and provide technical guidance throughout design and construction. Your work directly impacts deployment of innovative DCs and the integral AWS mission to power customers with reliable infrastructure. You will balance local regulatory needs with AWS reference designs to optimise outcomes and cost without compromising quality.

Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Develop and maintain structural Basis of Design, prototype designs, and template specifications
• Lead structural design on data center projects, including conceptual scheme design and regulatory considerations
• Collaborate with internal customers to define scope, schedule, and deliverables
• Create, review, and release RFPs for external design vendors and assess bids
• Manage external design consultants through design and construction to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, controls, fire, and cabling engineers
• Influence design deviations based on localization and client needs
• Track metrics for cost, quality,



and duration of design
• Collect data from operations, construction, and commissioning teams as designs are implemented
• Create and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction
• Identify innovative design and construction solutions to meet local regulations while reducing costs

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Engineering
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region (EMEA) as relevant
• Experience moving design concepts from exploration to deployment or mass production
• Experience reading and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
• Preferred: Professional Engineering or Architectural License
