Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Research Associate (CRA I, CRA II or Senior CRA) to join a growing clinical research organization supporting oncology studies across Belgium and the Netherlands. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CRA who enjoys managing the full clinical trial lifecycle, from study start-up through close-out, while working across a diverse portfolio of oncology projects.

This role offers significant ownership of studies, strong career development opportunities, and a clear pathway into future leadership positions.

Responsibilities

- Manage clinical trials from study start-up through close-out activities
- Lead contract negotiations and site start-up activities (SSU)
- Conduct site qualification, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits
- Ensure clinical studies are conducted in compliance with ICH-GCP, protocol requirements, and applicable regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investigative sites and key stakeholders
- Identify and resolve site issues proactively to ensure study timelines are maintained
- Maintain accurate study documentation and reporting
- Typically manage up to two protocols, with full ownership of assigned studies rather than providing monitoring support only
- Travel regularly across Belgium and the Netherlands to support clinical trial sites

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of independent clinical monitoring experience as a CRA (candidates with approximately 9 months may be considered in exceptional circumstances).
- Essential experience monitoring oncology clinical trials.
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills are required.
- Ability and willingness to cover both Belgium and the Netherlands.

- Strong understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and clinical research regulations.
- Experience across study start-up, monitoring, and close-out activities.
- Phase I oncology experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing site visits and study deliverables.

Location

- Remote-based across Belgium or the Netherlands.
- Candidates based in the Netherlands must be willing to travel to Belgium on a regular basis.
- Frequent travel within Belgium and the Netherlands is required.
