Job Title: COBOL Software Engineer

Duration: ASAP - Long Term

Location: Mechelen, Belgium (Hybrid, 2 days per week on-site)

Languages: Dutch

Role context:

- Work on the internal B2B package (invoicing, article data, pricing, customer management…)
- AS‑IS analysis, documentation, diving into the sources, technical adjustments
- Application integrations
- Daily checks, incident resolution, ticket handling
- After one year: limited on‑call duty during office hours

Key requirements:

- Minimum 5 years COBOL experience (AcuCOBOL 85 is a plus)
- Experience with Oracle 19 is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of Linux/RedHat, VMware, SOAP/XML, Java SDK, Apache Ant, WebSphere
- Dutch is mandatory (all source comments and documentation are in Dutch)
- Strong analytical mindset, eager to learn, good communication skills
- Willing to take on run/support tasks after onboarding (2nd line, very light on‑call: 1–2 calls/month)
