Job Description – SAP EWM Techno-Functional Consultant

Job Title: SAP EWM Techno-Functional Consultant

Experience: Minimum 7+ Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Techno-Functional Consultant with a minimum of 7 years of SAP experience, including strong expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). The adecuado candidate should possess a balanced techno-functional skillset, hands-on implementation experience, and domain expertise in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices (MedTech) industry. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and global project teams to design, implement, and support SAP EWM solutions while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP EWM functional and technical solutions.

* Design, configure, and implement SAP EWM processes including:

* Inbound & Outbound Processing

* Warehouse Structure

* Putaway & Picking Strategies

* Physical Inventory

* Internal Warehouse Processes

* RF Framework

* Handling Units (HU)

* Serial Number & Batch Management

* Develop and support enhancements using ABAP, BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, and SAP Fiori where applicable.

* Integrate SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA, MM, SD, PP, QM, TM, and MES systems.

* Work on interfaces using IDocs, APIs, RFCs, and middleware.

* Participate in end-to-end implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and production support.

* Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for development.

* Conduct system testing, integration testing, UAT, and user training.

* Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.





* Ensure adherence to GxP, GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and other regulatory requirements relevant to Pharma/MedTech environments.

* Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams in an Agile project environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Minimum 7+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP EWM.

* Proven experience in at least 2–3 full-cycle SAP EWM implementations.

* Strong knowledge of warehouse management processes and supply chain execution.

* Hands-on experience with:

* SAP EWM Configuration

* ABAP Debugging

* Enhancements (BAdIs, User Exits)

* RF Framework

* PPF

* Queue Management

* CIF Integration

* Experience integrating SAP EWM with S/4HANA and other SAP modules.

* Good understanding of SAP Fiori applications for warehouse processes.

* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* Ability to work independently and in multicultural project environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices (MedTech) industry is mandatory.

* Knowledge of regulatory compliance including GxP, GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and serialization processes.

* Experience with SAP EWM on SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM is highly preferred.

* SAP EWM certification is an added advantage.

* Exposure to SAP TM, SAP MII, or MES integration is desirable.

Education:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
