Join a Responsible AI framework initiative as a Data Governance Specialist, acting as a Responsible AI Consultant to support the continuous development of AI solutions in a financial-sector environment. This is a hybrid project based in Brussels for a minimum duration of 5 months. The start date is as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities
- Act as an independent technical expert, providing objective recommendations and solutions on best practices for AI system development.
- Focus on AI risk management, including bias mitigation, explainability, fairness, reliability and sustainability.
- Challenge technical decisions and provide guidance to support the development of robust and trustworthy AI systems.
- Provide insight to develop and implement a medium- and long-term vision and strategy for leveraging Artificial Intelligence.
- Provide strategic guidance on AI risk frameworks and Responsible AI initiatives.
- Act as a sounding board for AI frameworks.
- Design, develop and implement AI Risk Framework components, including boards, policies, processes, artefacts and tools.
- Support AI robustness, safety, transparency, explainability, human oversight, privacy, data management, non-discrimination, fairness, and societal and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with Legal,
Risk and Data stakeholders to align strategy with policies and frameworks.
- Work with Data Scientists and Business Analysts to design and implement concrete solutions for managing AI system risks.
- Work with Business Owners to ensure end-to-end risk management of AI solutions.
- Run or participate in risk management processes ensuring the sustainability of AI solutions.
Must-Have Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a relevant legal, governance and AI position.
- Technical experience in Artificial Intelligence.
- Ability to detect and manage Artificial Intelligence risks from ethical, legal, operational, IT, security and technical perspectives.
- Good understanding of the legal regulatory framework surrounding AI development and deployment, including the European AI Act and GDPR.
- Understanding of the financial sector business, including bank challenges, products and processes.
- Knowledge of data & analytics and risk management topics.
- A certification justifying knowledge in Artificial Intelligence development, regulations or risk management.
- English proficiency
- Proficiency in French and/or Dutch.
