We are looking for a Senior OPS Security Engineer to support firewall and proxy filtering services in a highly regulated enterprise IT environment.

Work setup: Hybrid – Brussels, 50% on-site and 50% homeworking.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and validate daily firewall flow requests in line with security policies.
- Implement and maintain firewall rules across enterprise security environments.
- Investigate and resolve firewall-related incidents and security policy issues.
- Contribute to project teams with firewall, network security, and architecture expertise.
- Optimize firewall policies and ensure configurations remain compliant and documented.
- Process requests according to internal security rules, risk controls, and change management processes.
- Perform detailed analysis and provide evidence for audits, flow recertifications, and reporting activities.
- Work in an Agile environment and collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Must-have requirements:





- At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a firewall environment.
- Proven experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS, cloud micro-segmentation, and firewall rule implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet technologies.
- Experience in firewall policy optimization and incident resolution.
- Knowledge of security, networking, and architecture principles.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM.
- MS Excel skills for automated reporting, ideally with VBA or Python.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Certifications such as PCNSA, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA.
- English mandatory.
