We’re looking for a motivated Food Technologist / Validation Specialist who enjoys combining laboratory work, international travel, and continuous learning.

Whether you’re validating a retort in Belgium, supporting a customer overseas, or carrying out testing at our headquarters, your work will directly contribute to food safety and process reliability worldwide.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Technologist / Validation Specialist, you’ll work closely with food manufacturers to ensure their thermal processing systems perform safely, accurately, and according to the required process specifications.

Your work will include:

- Performing validation studies on industrial retorts
- Conducting temperature distribution and heat penetration tests
- Performing F0 validation studies
- Calibrating process instrumentation
- Analyse validation data
- Preparing professional validation reports
- Performing validation tests and process trials at our headquarters
- Supporting customers during on-site validation activities
- Upgrade your knowledge by regular relevant courses and training
- Travelling regularly throughout the Benelux and internationally

What You’ll Learn

Thermal process validation is a highly specialized engineering discipline.

You’ll receive practical training while working alongside experienced specialists and gradually develop expertise in:





- Thermal processing technology
- Food safety validation
- Process instrumentation
- Retort operation and optimization
- Temperature mapping
- Heat penetration testing
- Technical reporting
- Customer support and troubleshooting

If you’re curious, motivated, and eager to develop your technical skills, this role offers continuous opportunities to grow.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges in the food industry, working independently, and meeting customers on-site.

Ideally, you have:

- An engineering degree or a strong technical background in general
- Good communication skills in English
- A valid driver’s license (Category B)
- A willingness to travel regularly
- A valid EU passport
- The ability to take ownership of your work
- A genuine desire to learn and continuously improve

Experience in validation, thermal processing, food manufacturing, or process instrumentation is an advantage, but not essential.
