One of our clients a fast-growing, multidisciplinary professional services international group active is looking for a General Ledger Accountant to strengthen the internal Accounting team of its Finance Shared Services Center.

About the team You'll join a stable and close-knit Accounting team of around 14 colleagues (GL Accountants & Senior Accountants), part of a broader Finance department of over 20 people supporting multiple business units across the organization. The whole accounting function is handled internally, nothing is outsourced.

No two days look the same here: think VAT filings, tax matters, monthly and annual closings, GL reconciliations, balance sheet management, cost control and financial reporting. It's a dynamic, hands-on environment definitely not a repetitive 9-to-5.

✅ What you'll be doing

- Managing the accounting of several legal entities and supporting the Senior Accountants during monthly closings.
- Monitoring the quality of booked purchase invoices and handling the correct processing of manual sales invoices.
- Processing payroll entries and closely tracking CAPEX and depreciation.
- Taking ownership of the monthly allocation and follow-up of costs across different entities, with transparent reporting.
- Performing monthly GL account reconciliations and flagging discrepancies in time.
- Actively contributing to audit preparation, working closely with the Senior Accountant and the external auditor.
- Supporting the AP team and helping identify opportunities to optimize processes and boost efficiency.




- Keeping your technical knowledge sharp and contributing to the ongoing professionalization of the finance department.

What we're looking for

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (or equivalent solid experience in a similar role).
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a corporate environment with multiple legal entities.
- Experience with an accounting ERP system (AFAS is a strong plus); solid Excel skills.
- Experience with the integration of acquired companies is a plus.
- Fluency in both French and Dutch (spoken and written) — essential given the company's presence in both Antwerp and Brussels.
- A team player who also works well independently, learns fast, isn't afraid to ask questions, and takes pride in accuracy and detail.
