No The Immunology, Inflammation and Diabetes Research Group at INiBICA – Institute of Biomedical Research and Innovation of Cádiz, in collaboration with the University of Cádiz, welcomes expressions of interest from excellent postdoctoral researchers wishing to apply for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026.
Our research focuses on the immunological and inflammatory mechanisms underlying diabetes mellitus and its complications, with a strong emphasis on the development of innovative therapeutic strategies based on immunomodulation and cell-based therapies.
The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary biomedical research environment integrating molecular biology, cell signalling, pathophysiology, translational medicine and advanced experimental models.
The fellow will benefit from access to state-of-the-art research facilities, scientific platforms, clinical and translational expertise, and an active international collaboration network.
The MSCA PF proposal will be developed in alignment with the group’s main research lines, including:
* Immunomodulation of cellular responses in type 1 and type 2 diabetes. * Novel therapeutic approaches for diabetic retinopathy. * Inflammatory mechanisms involved in diabetic nephropathy. * Omics-based approaches in patient samples with diabetes.
We are looking for outstanding candidates with a background in Biomedicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Medicine or related disciplines, and with a clear interest in translational biomedical research.
Applicants should demonstrate: * Excellent academic and scientific track record. * Strong motivation for high-level competitive research. * Interest in inflammation, immunology, diabetes and/or diabetic complications. * Capacity to develop an original and feasible MSCA PF proposal. * Ambition to build an international research career.
