Job Overview

This role is part of the Sevensense team at ABB Robotics, based in Sant Quirze del Vallès (Barcelona) and Zurich, Switzerland. You will build, optimize, and maintain a secure IT foundation that enables R&D; engineers to develop industry‑leading visual navigation systems. The position is hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate architecture into reality by installing, configuring, and deploying the core Linux infrastructure, clusters, and network fabrics for the Barcelona and Zurich sites.
- Execute complex migrations and upgrades from the command line, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Write and commit production‑grade automation code (Ansible, Terraform) to deploy infrastructure as code and eliminate manual configuration drift.
- Architect and build high‑availability Linux infrastructure alongside enterprise storage solutions.
- Enforce robust cybersecurity practices and ensure local compliance with global corporate security standards.
- Provide hands‑on Linux endpoint management, software provisioning, and day‑to‑day IT support for the R&D; team.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in Linux Infrastructure or Systems Administration.




- Proven experience setting up and configuring Linux infrastructure for new locations or scaling environments.
- Solid knowledge of networking (firewalls, VPNs, routing), OS deployment, and endpoint management on Linux.
- Proficiency in English for daily collaboration with the Zurich team and global stakeholders.
- Bonus: experience supporting R&D;, engineering, or robotics environments.
- Bonus: cybersecurity certification (ISC2 CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent).
- Bonus: familiarity with AWS, Docker, Debian, Proxmox, Nutanix, Mikrotik.
