Here, we feel empowered, supported, and inspired to grow.Are you ready to love your job?The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.PurposeAs a Data Engineer, you will accelerate new airline onboarding by ingesting heterogeneous airline systems and external sources, and turning them into trusted data for OCCam, SITA's AI‐powered Operations Control Center solution that helps airlines manage and recover from operational disruptions.You will be accountable for building a common datalake and canonical data model that the product, Back‐End and Science teams can rely on.Reporting to the Head of Engineering – Disruption Management Solutions (OCCam), you will be part of the OCCam team. We are hiring two Data Engineers to grow the team.Key ResponsibilitiesIngest heterogeneous airline systems and external sources into OCCam's data platformBuild a common datalake and canonical data model that the product reads fromOwn data quality at the pipeline level, including checks,



reconciliation and issue investigationPartner closely with Back‐End and Science teams so product features and algorithms are built on reliable dataWork on several airline integrations in parallel, accelerating client onboarding and keeping delivery organized and well documentedMap airline source schemas into a canonical data dictionary and document assumptions clearlyQualificationsExperienceYou are proficient in Python and SQL across relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and OracleYou have hands‐on experience with Airflow and ETL or ELT designYou understand datalakes, data modeling and canonical data model designYou can work with MSSQL linked servers, schema mapping and source‐system reverse engineeringYou have experience with, or can quickly ramp up on, AWS data services and data‐quality frameworksYou understand airline operational data such as schedules, crew, assignments and qualifications, or are ready to build that domain knowledge quicklyYou bring structured problem‐solving to messy real‐world data and can collaborate in client‐facing onboarding situationsYou have strong documentation discipline and a data‐trust mindsetYou understand the importance of handling personal data, including crew data, under GDPR and client data‐privacy requirementsNice‐to‐Have~ Experience with airline operational systems such as Netline, SCHEDOPS, XCREW or similarWhat We OfferWe're all about diversity.
