QA Engineer (Shift-Left) – 12 months+ – Madrid, Spain

RED General is currently supporting an end client in their search for an experienced QA Engineer to join their technology team on a long-term contract.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving software quality from the earliest stages of development, with a strong focus on functional testing, backend/API automation and collaboration across product, business and development teams. This is a hands-on QA position with the opportunity to grow into a QA Champion or Lead role over time.

• Start : ASAP

• Duration: 12 months+

• Location : Madrid, Spain (Hybrid)

• Language: Spanish (English is a plus)

Key requirements:

- Strong experience in functional QA and test automation




- Hands-on experience with backend/API automation testing
- Experience working with third-party integrations and complex systems
- Strong understanding of Shift-Left testing methodologies
- Ability to collaborate closely with Product Owners, business teams and developers
- Comfortable challenging requirements and driving quality improvements across the team

Nice to have

- WebDriverIO, TypeScript and Karate
- Mobile testing experience (Android/iOS)
